Getting started and creating your first app
From creating an account to an app running in front of you: the complete steps to build your first app in Webbe in minutes.
Last reviewed: October 20, 2026
Before you start
You need a Webbe account and a modern browser. We recommend Chrome or Edge on a computer for the best experience, and you can also build, edit and publish from a phone or iPad.
The account is free. Sign in with your Google account in one click.
The steps
- Click “Start free” at the top of the page, and sign in if asked.
- On the “How do you want to start?” screen choose “Custom project” to create your app from scratch (on paid plans), or “From ready examples” to start from a ready app (free).
- For a custom project: write your app's description in the description box, then click “Next: choose the design”. If you don't know what to create, try the “smart ideas assistant” (on paid plans): it asks a few questions, researches your market and suggests ideas with a ready description.
- In the “Choose the design” step pick the direction that suits your business, like “Warm organic” or “Trusted corporate”.
- Click “Next: review what I'll build”. The “Here's what I understood. Shall I start?” screen appears.
- Review the app type, the pages and the extra features. Turn on what you want and turn off what you don't need by clicking.
- Click “Start building”, and watch the app take shape in the live preview.
Note: A full build usually takes 3 to 5 minutes. The first time, preparing the build environment needs about 30 extra seconds.
While it builds
The assistant shows the build plan, then writes the app's pages one after another. You see each step in the chat in plain language.
You can switch to another tab. Turn on “Notify me when the build is done” and we'll send you a notification when your app is ready.
Your work is saved automatically. The save status appears next to the app's name at the top of the screen.
After the build is done
- Try the app in the preview, and open its admin panel with the “Open admin panel” button above the preview.
- Switch the preview between phone, tablet and desktop sizes from the buttons in the top bar.
- Ask for any change in the chat, or click an element in the preview to edit it.
- When you like it, click “Publish” to give your app a public link.
Where are my apps?
All your apps are on the “My apps” page. Open any app to keep working on it, or go to its “App dashboard”.
